Since people like to put a face to a company I thought I’d share a little bit about who I am. My name is Zinmar, and this is my story…

My passion for communications came from a young age, growing up in London and seeing the impact that 1980’s public service announcements had on the country. As a child I was mesmerised by how they helped transform public attitudes and behaviour - all within a one minute film.

After gaining my degree in Business and International Marketing Communications I landed my first job at adam&eveDDB, a global communications agency. Exposure to world class creative, strategic planning and production taught me to value many things. The magic of great storytelling, the importance of strategic focus and consumer insight, and how to bring it together to make seamless and meaningful brand messaging. At Saatchi & Saatchi I developed and launched global FMCG brands for Proctor & Gamble and General Mills, which nurtured a deep understanding of international markets and cultural nuance.

In 2014 I built the in-house comms for the largest private bank in Myanmar as the country came out of isolation into it’s first era of democracy. The mission was to turn KBZ into a digital finance powerhouse and create a digital finance ecosystem that would provide financial inclusion for everyone in Myanmar by 2028. After launching into ASEAN markets we trained the 18,000 strong staff into empowered digital sales agents to drive the brands first mobile financial service KBZPay, using geospatial data and KYC on boarding via facial biometrics. Two years after launch the KBZPay app has processed over 200 million transactions and now records over $1 billion in transactions monthly.

Taking my experience in brand innovation, emerging industries and consumer education, my focus turned to the health and wellness industry in 2018, specifically to the CBD and medical cannabis industry.
